Tom Plunkett is an Author, ICO Advisor, Patent Attorney, and Software Expert. He is a Consulting Solutions Director with Oracle. He has written several books related to Big Data and Cloud Computing. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on software topics, including Big Data, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Cryptocurrency, and Smart Contracts. Previously, he practiced patent law for a law firm, and he is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the Patent Bar. He has also taught computer science courses for Virginia Tech, including courses on Big Data, Cloud Computing, C++, Java, and Software Engineering. He has a B.A. and a J.D. from George Mason University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, and has taken graduate courses in Cyber Security and Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
